Only 6 km from Drayton Valley, and located inside Eagle Point Provincial Park right next to the North Saskatchewan River, this campground is a perfect place to relax. More than 90 sites, a boat launch, playground, showers and even a store make this a perfect home base for the area’s many local adventures.

Not far from Drayton Valley lies the Brazeau Dam. The outdoor recreation options here are stellar and range from camping and fishing to power boating, sailing, canoeing, wildlife watching and more. Off-highway vehicle trails nearby make this gem even better.

If you enjoy outdoor adventures, the Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area has many to offer! Camping, fishing, wildlife viewing, birding, easily accessible OHV and snowmobile trails nearby, power boating, sailing, kayaking and more make this a fantastic place to relax and unwind.

Sardine Lake is located 106 km SW of Edmonton and not far from Drayton Valley.

Getting there

From Drayton Valley you take Hwy 22 north, and turn west onto Hwy 621. About 1 km beyond RR 85 you will come upon the Pembina River Bridge on the Cynthia Highway.  Just before the bridge on the south side of the road there is a small parking lot. There are no designated access points to the trail. Accessing on cross the highway on the north side is doable but this is a busy highway and westbound vehicles are not easily seen until they have crested the hill on the approach to the bridge.

Put in near Drayton Valley and take out at Berrymoor Bridge. Mostly flat water with moderately strong current; may have sections with waves but these can be easily circumvented.
