Drayton Valley might be a small town (7,291 residents and counting!), but we boast a lot of amazing events. No need to be bored here—we value community and connection, and what better way to do that than to meet up and have a great time together!

Every year, there are street parties, a Canada Day parade, concerts and just so much more to take in. Here are a few of our top picks coming up.

Sasquatch Gathering

If a weekend that combines camping and music sounds like your jam, the Sasquatch Gathering should definitely be on your radar. The festival has roamed through 9 locations in its 25 years, and is always a great way for families and friends to come together for amazing artists and community. This summer is was hosted at the Pembina Nordic Centre in Eagle Point Provincial Park. Stay tuned for next summer’s epic event!

Drayton Valley Farmer’s Market

From March to September on Wednesdays between 3 and 6 pm, you’ll find lots of locals and local products at this lively weekly market. Check out the action at 5015 Industrial Road and feel great knowing you’re supporting local. There are other markets throughout the year as well, so make sure you’re connected on Facebook for all the latest news.

Street Party—Small Town, Big Life

The Drayton Valley Community Foundation knows how to throw a great party! Each summer, they put several events together—not even the rain can dampen the town spirit fueling the fun. From face painting and superhero characters, to delicious local fare, live music, and beer gardens, these block parties never disappoint! The next one is scheduled for August 19. See you there!

DV100 Race or Ride

Since 2012, this awesome bike event for both racers and riders has been dialing up the fun and giving back directly to the community in the process. Participants can choose to ride the full route (160 km) or a shorter version. Don’t have a bike? No problem! Those can be rented at the event. Get the deets and get peddling this year on September 10th!

Straight Blast Grappling Tournament

Jiu Jitsu is a thing in Drayton Valley, and we’ve got the tournament to prove it! Head over to the Omniplex Curling Rink for two days of excitement from September 24 to 25.
